There's an interesting thread on the SJU Waldorf Education list on Reading and student retention. It includes discussion on Waldorf's approach to early reading, and how it impacts retention. (List membership is required to read).

There's an interesting story on recent trends in school lunches: "Laptop lunches," basically bento boxes for kids. They are being used at Marin Waldorf School.
